5 PRODUCTS FOR SILKY SMOOTH LEGS

By Michelle Lamb

How do smooth legs make you feel? Clean? Comfortable? Feminine? Do you feel more like YOU?

That’s what it feels like for me. I love the feel of smooth legs, to the point where I have trouble sleeping if I feel any stubble. I love the look and feel of my legs in the summer, shining in the sun with the feeling of freshly cut grass, soft terrycloth or a silky dress grazing my skin. I think it’s important to embrace what makes you feel more like your authentic self, if that means keeping your body hair natural or shaving yourself entirely the only thing that truly matters is that you FEEL your best and most confident. If you’re like me and find joy in the feeling of smooth legs in the summer, keep reading to find out which products I use to look and feel my best!

I start with cleansing and exfoliating my skin in the shower with our Seaweed Exfoliating Body Wash. I love spending time outdoors swimming, hiking and rock climbing but sometimes that means being covered in bug spray, sweat, dirt and if I’m lucky dog slobber! I don’t mind getting sweaty in the summer because it makes the shower after feel sooooo good! The fresh smelling essential oils and exfoliating pumice in the Seaweed Exfoliating Body Wash make me feel clean and refreshed after a long, fulfilling day. It also creates a smooth surface for my razor when I shave so that I can look and feel my best for my next adventure!

Our Cleansing Milks were originally created as ultra-gentle, moisturizing facial cleansers that also remove makeup (which they still do a great job of!). I had been using the Lavender Cleansing Milk as a makeup remover in the shower and one day decided to try it as a shaving lotion. From then on I was HOOKED. It’s on the top of my list of products I can’t live without. It’s provides the perfect glide for my razor without gunking it up, and washes off easily leaving a slight moisturized feel. For someone who shaves their legs almost daily, a good shaving product is a must and this one is the best.

Right after I shower, I massage Hydrating Laminaria Oil on my legs and anywhere else I need moisture. It’s very hydrating without feeling greasy at all and smells amazing! I love it’s scent so much - a blissful combination of stress reducing lavender and blue chamomile with energizing citrus and ylang ylang.

Of course, I never go anywhere without sunscreen! Our Eco Defense Daily Moisturizer with SPF25 has been specifically developed for use on the face, but I use it everywhere. It has a light cucumber scent and feels just like a light daily moisturizer without any of the white streaking or stickiness usually associated with sunscreens. While I do use it anywhere my skin isn’t going to be covered, it’s not meant to stay on during strenuous activity or swimming so please keep that in mind! That said, it does a great job protecting me while lounging by the pool or walking my dog.

I wasn’t sure where I should put our Sea Mineral Mist in my line-up, because it can be used for so many things. It’s an anti-microbial and mildly exfoliating toning spray which works well for any skin type depending on your seasonal or situational needs, and works especially well for oily or acne-prone skin. I often use it after shaving as a way to reduce ingrown hairs and irritation, but I think it’s most fun and unique use is as a refreshing and deodorizing mist. I love to keep Sea Mineral Mist in my beach bag. It’s perfect for days when I’ve been lounging in the sun and could use a refresher but I’m not ready to call it quits and head for the shower.

So that’s it! Those are my go-to products to keep my legs feeling comfortable and attractive (to me) in the heat of the summer. Whatever your body hair preferences are, make sure they make YOU feel like your most authentic, best self and use products that not only get results but also boost your mood!

Have fun and be safe everyone!
